Tourism Tuesday at Woodstock Gardens
from The Valley Today · host Janet Michael
Our conversation for Tourism Tuesday - Shenandoah County edition - took place last week with Kary Haun from Shenandoah County Tourism at the Woodstock Garden Cafe located inside of Woodstock Gardens Nursery & Garden Store. Many of our listeners will know this location as Fort Valley Nursery. It was sold about a year ago to Beaune Brothers Landscaping. Kary & I chatted with John Fogle for a few minutes at the top of the show about his family's sale of the business and the transition which brought him back to the business as the retail manager. We talked about all the things one can experience and enjoy while shopping at the garden center. He also explained how Woodstock Gardens Cafe came to be - it's a separate company that's operated inside the garden center. You can get more information about Woodstock Gardens on their website: https://www.woodstock-gardens.com and by following them on Facebook. You can follow Woodstock Gardens Cafe separately here. In the second segment, Kary gave us a quick rundown of several events that are happening in the coming weeks including Shenandoah UnCorked, an empty bowl supper in support of Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter, Kary's Holiday Open House, as well as a few holiday markets happening at Star in the Valley Winery & North Mountain Vineyard & Winery. Find even more events on Shenandoah County Tourism's website: https://visitshenandoahcounty.com/ and click on the events tab at the very top.
