The research identifies key mechanisms, including sustainable business models (SBMs), decision support systems (DSSs), and ICT platforms that enhance collaboration and decision-making.Findings show that CNs are particularly prevalent in the European Union, with applications in food, construction, and manufacturing industries. While SDGs 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) are frequently addressed, others, such as SDGs 1, 5, 10, and 16, receive little attention. The episode highlights significant gaps in research, including the need for deeper exploration of ICT platforms in CNs, financial support mechanisms, and the role of social sustainability.By uncovering these insights, this episode provides a deeper understanding of CNs as drivers of sustainability. It discusses real-world applications and proposes future research directions to enhance collaboration strategies, develop more effective decision-making frameworks, and refine sustainable business models aligned with the SDGs.
