On the road towards justice, we were joined in Costa Rica by a group of experts on loss and damage. After visiting the Community of Manzanillo in Puntarenas and engaging with women leaders, we headed back to San José to host an event with civil society on loss and damage. Our friends Amali Towers of Climate Refugees, Rev. Michael Malcom from Peoples Rachel Cleetus is the Policy Director of the Union of Concerned, Amali Tower is the founder and executive director of Climate Refugees, a human rights organization that calls for the protection of those displaced by climate change, gave key messages demanding climate justice and finance to address loss and damage. On a long trip on a bus we talked about the need for justice and the international governance process regarding loss and damage. This event was hosted with the support of the Embassy of the United States of America. A podcast in English is part of the effort of La Ruta del Clima to make known Latin American perspectives in globalized climate governance. La Ruta del Clima Radio brings voices from all over Latin America to address climate change governance from a regional perspective.
