Tower Health is laying off 160 staff at Pottstown Hospital

Tower Health is laying off about a quarter of the staff — 160 people — at Pottstown Hospital. Tower Health called the decision “difficult” but also said it’s part of an investment in the facility in Montgomery County. The owner said it will spend millions to expand the emergency department and improve behavioral health services. It comes less than a year after Tower Health cut 130 jobs at Pottstown Hospital.
