Advocacy is an activity by an individual or group which aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions. For healthcare, online advocacy could take many forms including generating interest around a particular disease or condition, fundraising/giving for non-profit health systems or organizations and even health advocacy efforts.
