Just before Christmas, I had a chance to sit down and chat with one of the most influential writers of recent years - and one of my favourites - Kevin Barry. He was in Cork to watch Little Green Cars play St Luke's Church. We met up the following day as he reminisced about his time in Cork in the 1990s, writing for the Irish Examiner, finding his feet - and teeth - in fiction, bringing acid house to Limerick, running dodgy nightclub promotions, the Beatles, 'Beatlebone', new Irish writers and more.
