TPOE 99: Anna's Anchor

Limerick act Anna's Anchor aka Marty Ryan and friends have just released second album Everybody's Welcome. It's a masterclass in what's proving to be a burgeoning Irish pop punk scene. Released on the UK independent label Failure By Design Records, the album was written in isolation in a cottage which Ryan rented for ten days over Christmas 2016/17 at Tragumna Beach in Cork. It deals with a plethora of heavy themes but it's also super catchy and will leave you wanting more. We talked about the journey of Anna's Anchor, from how it started in the US to his first gigs - in eastern Europe as well as his hometown - the Limerick scene and lots more.
