Dr. Lauren Horn Griffin discusses White Christian Nationalism and so-called "Trad Catholic Men" With the current election in the rear-view mirror now, the pundits are now piecing together what worked for one candidate and didn't for the other. One element that played large in the campaign is the role of White Christian Nationalism. Here we interview Dr. Lauren Horn Griffin from Louisiana State University, who has been studying movements such as these for most of her academic career. Our conversation today focuses on both the role of so-called "Trad Catholic Men" play in our social/political landscape as well as how competing narratives can shape a nation. Dr. Griffin is the author of ‘Fabricating Founders in Early Modern England.’ Lauren earned her Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2016).
