There are conflicting narratives (again) this morning about whether or not any trade talks between China and the US, official or unofficial, are actually happening. The Trump Admin stays they are. Chinese officials say they aren't. Meanwhile a slew anonymously sourced articles are suggesting trade deals with other countries are in the works. Elsewhere Google parent Alphabet reported earnings that beat expectations thanks entirely to a mysterious "unrealized gain on non-marketable equity securities."
