TraegerMethod Episode 6 with Pete Chramiec

from TraegerMethod Podcast · host Jason Traeger

Jason was living in Reno with Kevin Seconds in 1986 when Pete's band Verbal Assault pulled into town on their first tour, they have been good friends ever since.   Episode 6's freewheeling conversation starts with a description of Pete's 1982 "Quest for MacKaye" bus adventure to Washington D.C. where he met Ian and Alec's mom before ever encountering the brothers. From there we go to him getting punched in the face by Boston hardcore royalty, the shape of Rhode Island punk in that formative period, revelations provided by early MTV and an extended recollection of the two month North American tour they went on together in 1986 ...though Pete swears it was 1987. Topics avoided in this episode: How Pete lost his virginity and The Fink family's rules relating to the consumption of sugary snacks. This is a fun talk. The first of many I hope, with Pete Chramiec.
