Tragedy in Las Vegas: Officer and Suspect Both Lost | Las Vegas News

In a heartbreaking Las Vegas tragedy, 21-year-old Angel Tywan Lucas Lindsey fatally shot Officer Austin Abdelnabi during a mental health crisis call — both died in the exchange. Lindsey’s father, Anthony Lucas, revealed his son was bright, pursuing college and real estate dreams, but battled untreated mental illness amid his own personal struggles. He mourned his estranged son while honoring the fallen officer, calling him a hero doing his duty. Authorities say Lindsey had prior non-criminal mental health encounters with police and legally owned the firearm used. Investigators are reviewing his devices for signs of planning. Anthony urges families to seek help and check in on loved ones — a plea to prevent future loss. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
