Tragedy on Revere Road Leaves Family Devastated | Durham News

A heartbreaking tragedy struck Durham this past weekend when Victoria James, 38, was fatally shot while sitting in her car on Revere Road — her daughter was injured, her son unharmed. Her ex-boyfriend, Lontrel Alston, charged with the shooting, has a prior assault conviction and is being held without bond despite his defense team portraying him as a responsible father of five. Victoria, remembered as warm and vibrant, left a lasting impact on all who knew her; her mother warns others to take threats seriously. As the investigation continues, the community mourns this senseless loss, with Alston’s next court date set for October first.
