Tragic Tire Change on I-75 | Miami News

A heartbreaking crash on I-75 north of Miramar Parkway claimed a life yesterday afternoon when a driver changing a tire was struck by another vehicle. Tragically, the victim—a parent with a two-year-old child in the car—did not survive, though the child was unharmed and reunited with their mother. The Florida Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating, and the right three lanes of northbound I-75 remain closed, causing major delays. This sobering incident serves as a grim reminder to stay vigilant—even when stopped on the shoulder—on busy highways.
