Trail Running and The Science of Running Shoes

from The Anatomy Nerd Podcast · host Anatomy Nerd

In this episode, I speak with my long time friend Nick Clinton about the anatomy and kinesiology of running shoes. Nick has a masters degree in Kinesiology, has worked in the running industry for 11 years, and is now the Product Line Manager for Brooks Running, specifically their trail shoes and apparel. Nick and I have been nerding out about running for a long time. When we worked together in Sacramento, I was a fit specialist for Fleet Feet Sports, and he was a tech rep for Adidas. He frequented the store to give us the latest updates about Adidas's running shoes, and we would nerd out hard! Several years later, we both moved on, but stayed great friends. It was only a matter of time before we did an epsiode together and nerded out about running and the human body once again. And here it is!
