Hi! I’m Lauren Karan, and I am a Founder and Director of the recruitment and coaching business Karan and Co, Mum of two young kids and a massive animal lover with a property of goats, chickens, and dogs to keep me on my toes. I realised that with over 15 years experience in recruitment and coaching across so many different clients that there were some amazing career shakers that I learnt from along the way. I wanted to help you see what is possible for you and that just because you can’t see someone else doing it right now, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. When I wanted to work part-time as a Recruiter I had many people telling me it wouldn’t be possible.  I worked for the past 4 years managing a full-time workload as a recruiter across 3 days and I created my own business to offer full flexibility for my own team to work the hours they want and be engaged in the work we do. I love hearing about people who challenge the status quo because it’s the people who truly believe they can make a difference that are the ones who generally do. One of my favourite quotes has always been If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door. Welcome to the Building Doors podcast!
