Training & Practice...Makes Progress | Creative Chaos

As VO artists, our office is often a closet. We often struggle to make sure the space works for us and what we need but it is also a comfortable space that will allow us to spend hours auditioning and working. Angela and Jozlyn chat about rearranging their booths and adding some acoustic treatments and equipment. Jozlyn shares some on-camera journey news for herself and her son. We are training, and doing headshots, and shopping for agents. It is all very exciting and it makes us think about how we started and how much training is necessary as you progress within your career. Angela, Lloyd and Joz chat about their thoughts on training, starting out, as they got going, and what they are thinking about it now. We discuss the importance of continuing to train as you move forward in your career but also how beneficial it is to incorporate new things into your training such as acting and improv to develop new skills.We also recognize that sometimes you have to look beyond the place where you started and experience what other people/coaches can potentially offer. It is very much about growth and stepping outside of your comfort zone. This can be scary but also rewarding.
