Training to Persist in the Faith (Hebrews 12:1-13)

We desire comfort in our Christianity while God desires transformation. Because internal transformation only occurs with difficult training, look to the encouragement God has given. 1. When you are discouraged by the difficulty of internal transformation, look at the forerunners of the faith (1–3). 2. When you are discouraged by the difficulty of internal transformation, consider the heart of God (4–11). 3. When you are discouraged by the difficulty of internal transformation, remember God’s promises (12-13).
