South Africa through the Department of Transport is hosting Botswana and Namibia today*, to strengthen relations and improve cross border transactions and Customs Operations along the Trans Kalahari Corridor. The Corridor, which was jointly developed in the 1990's, was formed with the objective to contribute and promote trade within the three states through transport efficiency by simplifying and harmonizing the requirements and controls that govern the movement of goods and persons to reduce transportation costs and transit times.
