Extend Your covering over the Church that bears Your name, and over all who depend on livestock, soil or sea., All hospitals and social services; all schools and universities, businesses and factories, that with the shops and civic establishments form the core of our communities. Forgive us, Lord, for forfeiting the faith foundations of our nation. We have been slow to proclaim Your Gospel, and quick to compromise. We have dethroned You in our land and in our lives, leaving broken homes and hurting children, and violence in our homes and streets Forgive us for tolerating injustice. As we repent of our many failures, come in mercy to cleanse and renew. We pray now for a fresh out pouring of Your Holy Spirit in Your Church and upon our homes. In Jesus’ name, send Your convicting and converting power and cause the leaders of our nation to humble themselves before You. Bless the prodigal peoples of our European continent: in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Switzerland; in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland; Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg; Greece and Italy. Raise up a people for Your own possession, and a Church that bears Your name, as You glorify Your Son through a harvest in each one of these great lands. For the nations we once knew as Eastern Europe: Albania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Rumania, Bulgaria and beyond to Turkey. Inspire and guide them by Your Spirit with the knowledge of the Most High, the nearness of Your love and the power of Your moving. Let the millions who own your name in North America heed the call to honour You, and place their resources at Your disposal. Stretch out Your hand across the African continent, where revolution, famine and violence continue to take their toll. Empower Your servants, and stem destructive ways. Illuminate teachers of Your Word so that the life of Jesus may shine forth through a multitude of souls, strong in doctrine yet sensitive in Spirit. Arise O Lord with healing in Your wings. Assuage the devastation in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, the Congo, Nigeria, Uganda, Mozambique and the Sudan. Let righteousness prosper and tyranny be checked, from Cape Town to Cairo, from one end of Africa to the other. In a continent where oil is revered as black gold, we pray for the oil of Your Spirit penetrate so-called closed countries with the message of Your love: Iran and Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya and Algeria, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait. Inspire and guide them by Your Spirit with the knowledge of the Most High, the nearness of Your love and the power of Your moving.
