We often feel as though no matter how hard we try, we just don’t see the renewal that we want in our lives. But have you ever stopped to consider if you even trust God? Skipping from hearing to obeying without first trusting that what God is saying is good and meant for your flourishing is a sure-fire way to become stuck in what feels like a kind of cyclical failure. The good news is, the Christmas story shows us that God is trustworthy. By leaving what was rightfully his and becoming a helpless infant, God is demonstrating for us that he is for us, and that he will go to any lengths to bring us back to himself.
