TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH PERSONAL ACTS OF CHARITY

There is no shortcut to spiritual maturity in the University of God there are two main subjects: the Word and the things of the Holy Spirit and the two must join together. Let us remember the discussion between the rich man and Jesus in Mark 10:17-22, “As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honour your father and mother. ’Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.” Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.” The rich man knew the Word of God but he lacked what is necessary before God: active faith focusing on God as our Source. Jesus pointed him from the theory to the practical side of Christianity: active faith focusing on God as our Source. We must not only be hearers of the Word but also doers of the Word. Faith is practical and the focus of the University of God is the practical side of Christianity. In other words, it is all about the right application of the Word of God in our daily life. Faith is manifested or expressed in our daily life. This is not just a message but an instruction in righteousness approved by God. Take note of this divine instruction for the year 2023 from The University of God. Pray over it to be fully convinced in your mind. Discover the significance of expressing love through acts of charity as a tangible manifestation of faith.
