Transitioning Leadership: Who Leads and How with Ignacio Packer

from Never Too Far Gone · host Heather Cetrangolo

This is the fifth of an eight-part series called Transition Plans: How to Transition Well. Change is something that happens as an external event or situation, whereas 'transition' is an inner, psychological process that people go through as they internalise and come to terms with change. This episode is with special guest, Ignacio Packer, Executive Director of Initiatives of Change, Caux Foundation. The conversation traverses three transitions occurring for global leadership today. First, a transition away from cynical or naively optimisitic leadership, towards a grounded, proactive choice to be hopeful. Secondly, a transition away from directive management styles to choosing vulnerability. Thirdly, a transition away from blind acceptance of white, male privilege, towards conscious decisions to choose diversity in leadership representation.

Barnum. Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”). Every law, though, has one thing in common: an interest in t Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
