What this episode covers
Pastor Kirk concludes our study of the book of John with an overview of themes of the author John. Jesus' signs and wonders were provided to start little belief in Him; but mature, enduring belief is saving faith. Great signs are not proof of mature faith or culmination of ministry, but rather are for the weak, small, struggling faith that need signs to keep their faith. What rubs against believers spiritually is the unfamiliarity and discomfort of suffering to gain mature faith. What keeps believers spiritual children is the refusal to put away our toys. Put away the bottle fed infancy faith that wants signs and become a man in your faith who can have joy and peace no matter the circumstances. We are in spiritual danger! Gird yourself with armor for spiritual warfare for we are more than conquerors for Christ.
