Have you ever heard the expression "it doesn’t translate"? This problem is especially prevalent today when trying to understand Arabic words and phrases from an Islamic culture that has an entirely different worldview than the west. Does the word "Islam" really mean peace, or do Christianity and Islam mean the same thing when using the word "martyr?" Mistranslation leads to misunderstanding.
