Julie believes that if it is something we could all do in our businesses and in our life then our relationships will be so much better. Transparency is about being open and honest, contributing ideas, opinions and proposals. It’s also about challenging what needs to be challenged and feedback loops. If we allow tension and resentment to build then it will seriously impact and damage, within business and life in general. It isn’t about nit-picking, it isn’t about telling everything to everybody all of the time, there are boundaries in place with transparency and we are transparent with a principled approach with those boundaries in mind. Think about how to deliver the message with respect, to ensure it is used to resolve an issue straight away. Transparency is a learned behaviour, so everyone can learn how to be fully transparent.
