Dr. Tovar’s unique background and integrated specializations allow her to provide holistic mind-body treatment for a variety of conditions. Dr. Tovar’s dedication to holistic wellness began immediately after college when she provided health education workshops for Kaiser Permanente. She then taught bilingual health programs at White Memorial Medical Center and worked as a clinical dietitian at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Since then, Dr. Tovar has worked to help clients at Alhambra Unified School District, Pasadena Rehabilitation Institute, LA Valley College, and her doctoral internship at the Institute for Multicultural Education and Counseling Services. Dr. Tovar has delivered presentations at several national conferences on the detection of and mindfulness interventions for disordered eating, weightism, and health disparities among minorities.
