Traveling forward Brain Injury Train - Dream Catchers LesPaul

from Z Z Archive 2014 · host Brain Injury Radio

Back in the late 1800s the steam powered locomotive became a modern revolution for travel and helped change the World. It literally created generations of invention, innovation and industry. Think about it life was much different then. No Air-conditioning, no civil rights, no electricity or running water and yet we are all descendants of people who lived in these times. Now we live a life of what my Friend and guest on Dream Catchers Anthony calls learned helplessness and I believe he is correct! With that kind of mind set I am going to challenge us all as survivors to revolutionize the way we see and perceive the World around us as brain Injury survivors as well as how we perceive ourselves! Now Imation how different life would be if we did not have the knowledge and technology that we depend on so much today for our everyday life I personally believe we as a people have taught our selves how not to be independent and self sustaining and that we have to depend on others to take care of us feed us and tell us what to do so tonight we are going to talk about working together to learn self reliance and determination. We do things because they are hard not because they are easy so come on survivors let’s start working together now on a mission of support and success for the masses who feel trapped in the disabled medical model.
