Several suggestions that she provides are prepare your child for the upcoming vacation by reading books or watching videos of the future trip, bring a go-to-bag with items such as snacks, headphones, and glasses if there will be bright lights etc. Add any items that your child might want or need during the trip, have a sleepover at someone’s house to prepare them for not sleeping in their own bed, and call ahead to the restaurant and order your child’s meal so there is no wait time or meltdowns because of hunger.
