Tre Brown Born and Raised in New Britain, CTIntroduced to poetry at age 8. His favorite poets are Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, Tupac Shakur, Black Ice, Rudy Francisco, and Nego True. He’s an author of 10 spoken word books with an 11th on the way self-entitled “T. R. E.” which is an acronym for “Testimonies Revealing Everything.” Tre is also working on a spoken word album called “The Black Marathon” which coincides with his 9th book; an album that will have blends of jazz, poetry, gospel, funk, R&B, and hip hop. Tre is the co-founder of the New Britain Racial Justice Coalition, an activist, a drummer, singer, up and coming playwright, and an ordained elder in the CME Church. Support the show
