Treasure in Earthen Vessels
from St Mark Sermons Hosted by St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church
In this reflection, Fr. Simon talks about the powerful idea of carrying a divine treasure within our fragile, earthen vessels. He explores how, despite being made of dust, we possess incredible gifts like rational thought, the capacity for self-control, and the beauty of self-sacrifice. By looking at the lives of various saints, he encourages us to practice simple obedience and restraint so that we can truly live as a reflection of the image and likeness of God.
