Treasure Island Part III Chapter II - The First Blow

In which a lone wanderer, having slipped away from his comrades, roams the strange and untamed island, overhearing a grave and fierce discourse between two men that darkens the air with dread. Terrible tidings and a sudden, fierce violence shatter the stillness of the marsh, driving the listener to flee in breathless terror from the newly awakened threat.
