Treasuring Christ - John 6:16-24
from Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy Hosted by cstpb
The central message of this sermon is that Jesus' presence in our lives can bring transformation and salvation, even in the midst of desperation and seemingly impossible circumstances. The teacher highlights that Jesus' unique miracle of walking on water demonstrates His transcendence and power, but also emphasizes that it is a sign of His care and concern for his disciples, who are struggling to come to terms with their faith. By recounting the story of the disciples' journey across the Sea of Galilee, the sermon shows how Jesus knows and understands our circumstances, even when we feel stuck or lost. The teacher encourages listeners to acknowledge their difficulties and frustrations, even expressing them to God in prayer, trusting that He will come to meet their needs and bring transformation. Ultimately, the sermon conveys a message of hope and reassurance, urging believers to look to Jesus as their source of strength and salvation in times of need.
