Treating Everybody Like A Somebody - The Value of Respect

from Okay, Now What? - With Kate Gladdin · host Kate Fitzsimons

Over the last few months I've been thinking a lot about how we often get so caught up in societal goals and what's ''cool'' in our culture, that we give little time to our character - who we're actually being in the world. We're rushing to appointments or stressing about that next exam, that we're not slowing down to notice that person behind us we could keep the door open for or taking a moment to say thank you when the waiter brings the salt shaker over. And I think that's such a shame - because it's these simple daily interactions that can create more ripples of kindness and appreciation in your community. By showing someone respect, it can inspire them to be more respectful - it feels good for them, and it feels good to you. Honestly, being able to stand behind the character of who you are and how you treat others, is one of the greatest gifts to give yourself and give this world. So tune into this thought provoking discussion with my boyfriend and founder of Inheriting Manhood, Nate Gladdin, as we share our pespectives on the importance of respect and the small yet meaningful ways we can each bring more of it into our lives and the lives of those around us - sure it might not solve all the world's problems, but it certainly stop us from creating more of them.  Ready to end your anxiety attacks and meltdowns?
