The Haverfordwest and Milford Haven Telegraph of the 2nd of January 1901 reported: “One of the most furious gales of recent years swept over this vicinity on Thursday night, but fortunately without effecting any really serious harm. Slates were swept off roofs, some trees were blown down, and debris of all kinds whirled about.
