Trevor Dormer-Building Golf in Kimberly, BC

from The Tie Podcast · host Henry Shimp

Trever Dormer has traveled all over the world to build golf courses. Many days, home has been St. Lucia, or Thailand,  or Nova Scotia. But even if every location was as great as these, Kimberly, BC is best because it's really home. Purcell Golf lies in the Kootenays right by the St. Mary's river. When plans for the PIE (Purcell International Education) began in 2020, a school campus was to be built on a portion of the existing 18-hole golf course. After negotiations, Kimberly Golf Club- now Purcell Golf-was invested in and is here to stay.  The club needed  someone to turn the community asset into a centerpiece for the town itself. It was obvious the man for the job was Trevor  Dormer. Enjoy the conversation between me and a Father/Husband/Shaper/Architect building golf in his hometown, for his hometown. It's a good one.
