Triad Election (2006)
from Sequelcast 2 and Friends Hosted by Mat Bradley-Tschirgi
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss Triad Election (outside of the US, this was released as Election 2). Lok (Simon Yam) bucks tradition to go up for re-election, but has to run again upstart Jimmy (Louis Koo). A more intimate movie than the original, Johnnie To's Triad Election is another tense political gangster thriller. Faster paced than the original, this one builds well off events in the original.
