Trials in the Wilderness, Pt. 1 (05/05/2024 Morning Worship)

Ben Phillips speaking on "Trials In the Wilderness" from Matthew 4:1-11. This is part one of a two part sermon. Temptation is rooted in our own desires, some good and some bad. But when we allow our desires to reign then sin will follow. Jesus demonstrates for us how to deal with temptation. Having been declared to be the Son of God following His baptism in Matthew 3, Jesus faces the Devil in the wilderness. The Devil twists Scripture and targets Jesus from varying angles, but Jesus overcomes by knowing the Word, discerning the Word, and believing God the Father. We too can overcome as He did!
