In this special September 11th edition of the Awakened Podcast I’m joined by Air Force Veteran A1C Clint Boggs, Army Combat Veterans SSG Mark Kershaw & SPC Michael Gomez, and Marine Corps Combat Veteran CPL Wade Spann (Not included in this episode is SFC Omar Hernandez). They are the producers and stars of the documentary Tribal, which highlights their harrowing experiences in high-risk missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as their ongoing search for purpose after returning to civilian life. They joined me to reflect on their service and raise awareness about veteran suicide. We discussed the struggle Veterans have with integrating back into a civilian life, finding your purpose, losing friends and battle buddies, being a man, injuries on the battlefield, overcoming trauma, psychedelics and other alternative forms of therapeutics, and we reflect on 9/11.
