TribCast Extra: The Bonnen Whisperers
from Texas Tribune TribCast Hosted by The Texas Tribune
Hello TribCast listeners. Welcome to the second episode of Point of Order, a new podcast in which Evan Smith takes you inside, behind and underneath the politics and issues of the Texas Legislature. Baring something unforeseen happening, State Rep. Dennis Bonnen (R-Angleton) is poised to become the next Speaker of the House. Who is Dennis Bonnen, and what will his rapid response mean for Texas? Evan Smith asks three state representatives what they foresee in a Bonnen House. Mary González (D-Clint), Jeff Leach (R-Plano) and Drew Springer (R-Muenster) join Evan in this conversation that was recorded before a live audience on November 29, 2018 on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. We hope you’ll enjoy this preview of Point of Order, which launches formally in January. We welcome your feedback. Drop us a line at [email protected].
