Tribalism is not love for your people. it is the fear of others. It is not culture or pride. It is when identity becomes a weapon. We say we are protecting our own, but often, we are just building walls that blind us. Amd so, tribalism hides as loyalty, but it divides like hate. For it turns neighbours into threats, and elections into war. Nigeria has many tribes, yes! But tribalism is the lie that says we can’t be one people. Because in the end, it is not our roots that harm us—it is how we use them to pull others down.
