Tribute to Gerald Levert

This week on KBLA’s Lyric Lounge, we pay tribute to the soulful legacy of Gerald Levert. Join Tosha, Teal, and Ural as they celebrate the incredible contributions of Gerald Levert to the world of R&B. Teal kicks things off with "Is This the Way to Heaven," a heartfelt track that showcases Gerald’s emotive storytelling. The conflict between desire and moral principles. Ural follows with a classic, delivering the Rude Boys' hit "Written All Over Your Face." As the writer and producer of this iconic track, Gerald Levert’s influence is undeniable. Girl, you don't have to say a thing, cause I can see it in your face. Queen Tosha closes out our tribute with "School Me" from Gerald’s first solo album. The bell is ringing, and class is in session. This woman puts it on Gerald, and he's a willing pupil. Tune in to KBLA1580 every Saturday at 4 PM PST to catch the show live and repeating at 11pm.
