Spencer was highlighted in the Monday's Seattle Times on Mr. Russell by Matt Calkins. *Robert (Bob) Flowers was captain of the 1961 Garfield High School Basketball team that won the state championship. He will comment on how Bill Russell influenced his play at Garfield and the University of Washington basketball teams. *Roy Hayes was captain of the 1962 Garfield High School Basketball team that won the state championship.
