Tribute to Luther Vandross , The 70s

Divabetic, the organization inspired by the diabetes journey of Luther Vandross, commemorates what would have been the Grammy-award winning artist's 61st birthday (April 20) with an hour-long all-star retrospective of the late singer's early years. Mr. Divabetic, who worked with Vandross for more than 14 years, along with a few of Luther's colleagues, collaborators, friends and fans, travel back to the 70s, a decade of funk, disco, rock, Afros, flower prints, bell-bottomed pants, platform shoes and lava lamps, to celebrate the artistry of the prolific singer-songwriter and record producer. This tribute remembers the moments, the music, the man and the motivation to ensure that no one has to struggle with diabetes alone or in silence.
