I'm continuing the Tributes series to those we've lost recently in this most difficult year. This edition focuses on Prince Rogers Nelson, one of the greats of my youth. His death in April was a great shock in my household, as he was one of my lovely wife's favorites. I remember rollerskating to songs off 1999 and the Purple Rain soundtrack as a kid in Mississippi, but I didn't get a full understanding of the beauty of his music until I started exploring his earlier work within the last few years. It's my mistake for waiting so late to appreciate. So, from a late convert, thanks for the music and for inspiring so many others with your intense creativity.
