Trinity Sunday and prayer

from Sermons from the pew · host In memory of Father JohnRose

Today we speak about prayer and the importance of the Trinity in our prayers. As Christians, our prayer is unified, our prayer is together, our prayer is within the context of the Trinity. Taking a moment, thinking about today’s gospel, it provides a blueprint to orientate the mind & heart and reaffirm the importance of prayer. Address your prayers to the Father in the name of Jesus. Why - because in prayer, we are surrounded by the Trinity. Our hearts are motivated by the Holy Spirit, our prayers are directed to the Father and they are wrapped in the name of Jesus. This is because the sacred humanity of Jesus is the way by which the Holy Spirit teaches us to pray to God our Father. Thy will be done… Thank you for listening.
