Trisha Estabrooks Targets Edmonton-Strathcona | Calgary News

Trisha Estabrooks is set to lead the Alberta NDP’s charge in Edmonton-Strathcona, a safe seat they’ve held since 1997 and where she narrowly lost to Naheed Nenshi in 2025. With deep roots in public service—from CBC journalism to school board leadership—Estabrooks brings experience and credibility to the campaign. Though she finished third federally last election, her provincial nomination is already framed around defending education and healthcare. With the next election just over two years away, she’s poised to build on the NDP’s strong ground game in one of Alberta’s most reliable ridings.
