🌀 TROPICAL UPDATE | August 9

The Atlantic is getting more active with two areas to watch: 🟡 Disturbance #1: A tropical wave in the central Atlantic has a near 0% chance of development over the next 48 hours and a 20% chance over 7 days. Some gradual development is possible early this week. 🟠 Disturbance #2: Another tropical wave is expected to move off Africa early this week. Conditions could become more favorable for development, with a 40% chance over 7 days. 🌴 For Southeast Texas: Neither system poses an immediate threat to the Texas coast. Both are still well out in the Atlantic, and it’s much too early to discuss specific impacts here.
