Troubled Times in the USA but Mark Lists What's Good about America and Asks for Your List 7/5/23

This day after July 4th Mark has his list of stuff that's good about the troubled land of the USA: Diversity: America is a nation of immigrants, with people from all over the world calling it home. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and it makes us a more interesting and vibrant place to live with a cultural richness and diversity reflected in our art, music, food, and literature. Economy: We have a strong economy, with a high standard of living for many people. Again, we need more people to have access to that higher standard of living. Democracy: America is a democracy, which means that the people have a say in how the country is run. This is a fundamental value that we should cherish and protect but that has been (and is now still being) threatened and undermined. Double-edged: Technological leadership and innovation. So much of it starts in the USA but dangers and negatives have erupted and may overwhelm whatever benefits technology has provided our society. What's on your list?
