Troy Adds Veteran Coach Kyle Roane

Troy University’s men’s basketball program just got a major upgrade with the hiring of Kyle Roane, a veteran coach with over 30 years of experience, to join head coach Adam Howard’s inaugural staff. Roane, most recently associate head coach at Southeastern Louisiana, helped lead the team to a winning record and tournament berth last season while developing standout players. With deep roots in college hoops—including multiple stints at Southeastern Louisiana and Southern Miss, where he contributed to conference titles and postseason runs—he brings a wealth of experience from junior college and high school head coaching roles too. Howard praised Roane as a top-tier hire, calling him a proven winner with unmatched character who’ll elevate both the team and community. Roane, who began his coaching journey in the ’90s as a student assistant and earned his degrees at Southern Miss, is thrilled to join Howard’s staff, recognizing his vision and leadership. With Roane now aboard, Troy’s program is poised for a strong foundation as Howard builds his legacy. Support the show:Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
