from trufm Podcast · host trufm

We cant run away from the fact that HIV/AIDS still has a stigma in our communities and its unfortunate that people living with HIV/AIDS are still treated as outsiders in our communities. Having said that #truAfternoon spoke to the young people of the Eastern Cape to find out whether or not families find it hard to accept other family members living with HIV/AIDS. We also spoke to Nomonde Hlatshaneni from the Eastern Cape Aids Council to advise us on the reasons why other families find it hard to accept people living with HIV/AIDS and also find out the best ways to support family members living with HIV/AIDS.
